Planning and Response

The Public Health Preparedness (PHP) department of the Suwannee County Health Department focuses on protecting the residents and visitors of Suwannee County from man-made and natural disasters. The PHP Coordinator serves as the planning and training liaison between the health department and other emergency response agencies in the county. The Coordinator assists the health department prepare for the possible effects of manmade or natural disasters, such as hurricanes, influenza pandemics and bio-terrorism events.

The Suwannee County Health Department coordinates with local and regional planning partners to develop response plans to ensure that we are prepared to protect the health of our community.
