Sexually Transmitted Diseases

Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) are infections that you can get by having sex with someone who has an STD. You get an STD by having sex only one time with an infected partner. Many of the warning signs of an STD are not visible and you may not know your partner is infected.

The Suwannee County Health Department has trained nurses and doctors to examine, diagnose and treat men and women with STD infections. Early diagnosis and treatment is important and decreases the risk for complications.
