Onsite Sewage Treatment & Disposal System (OSTDS) Construction
Phone:  321.633.2100, option 1

Through the OSTDS Construction program, our office permits, regulates and inspects the construction of new systems, repairs and modifications to existing systems, existing system approvals and abandonments of systems.  Anyone who plans to install, repair, modify or abandon an OSTDS in Brevard County must first obtain a permit from our office.  In addition, any changes to original permitted conditions require approval from our office.  The main goal of this program is to protect public health by eliminating the potential for the spread of infectious disease, by protecting the ground and surface water from improperly built or maintained onsite sewage treatment and disposal systems.  Systems producing a domestic sewage flow of more than 10,000 gallons per day (gpd) or a commercial sewage flow of more than 5,000 gpd are regulated by the Department of Environmental Protection.

View the Permit Ready Report to see if your permit has been issued and is ready to be picked up from our office.

Records of OSTDS and well construction permits beginning from mid-2002 are available by visiting our Laserfiche site.  Please use the following user name and password to access this information: User Name = public and Password = public.  For information on how to setup the Laserfiche site for optimal viewing and searching please review the Laserfiche Setup PowerPoint (or the Laserfiche Setup PDF full text version).
