In a contractual partnership with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, the Environmental Health Section through the Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Notification Program, identifies and permits small quantity generators and provides an on-site review of handing, storage, and disposal practices.  The program operates pursuant to a revolving five (5) year cycle.  There are an estimated 500-1000 small quantity generators in Clay county.
