Drug Free Collier
We are the "Go-to" people for juvenile substance abuse prevention in Collier County. We provide educational presentations and workshops for the private and public sectors.
We provide opportunities for families and students to participate in activities that increase resiliency. By offering alternative activities such as Sun n Fun concerts, children of all ages can have a great time in a drug free and safe environment.
We change our community by educating those who sell alcohol. The law enforcement agencies in Collier County collaborate with us to inform convenience stores and the hospitality industry on the laws and dangers of selling alcohol to underage youth.
We collaborate with the environmentalists of our community to provide the citizens of Collier County a safe method and environmentally friendly method to dispose of medication. Please see our calendar for Operation Medicine Cabinet events and bring us all your unused medication.
We partner with the entire community of Collier County to carry forth our prevention efforts. The mission of the Coalition is to decrease juvenile substance abuse in Collier County through increased education, prevention services and support. It takes a collaborative community effort to achieve our mission.

Safe and Healthy Children's Coalition of Collier County
Vision: To improve health outcomes and prevent injuries among children (0-18 years of age) within Collier County. Mission: To facilitate partnerships with local agencies to develop synergistic programs that address defined health and injury prevention issues involving Collier County youth.
We are a local group of 38 government and non-profit agency child advocates combining efforts to support the coalition's mission and vision. For example, drowning is the leading cause of death for children ages one to four in Collier County. It's silent, happens quickly and is 100% preventable. The Coalition also focuses on SIDS and other sleep-related Infant deaths. According to Bureau of Vital Statistics, suffocation is the leading cause of death for children less than 1 year of age in Collier County. These issues along with childhood obesity can be addressed through the cooperation and collaboration of the many organizations involved with the Coalition.
