Health Education / Health Promotion
The Health Education Division offers a variety of preventive
programs designed to address some of the most critical public health
needs of Pasco County residents and visitors. Our uniquely
experienced and educated staff currently offers comprehensive health
education in the areas of tobacco use prevention and control,
chronic disease, teen pregnancy prevention and child health care
insurance.
These services are tailored for, and planned with, specific at-risk
audiences throughout the county.
The Health Education Division also is responsible for media
relations, public relations, employee communications, grant writing
and administration, staff training and library resources.
Information and referrals are provided upon request for many other
public health issues, including injury prevention, safety, wellness,
nutrition, exercise, cancer, lung health and domestic violence.
Staff members coordinate and assist with numerous community-wide
initiatives designed to improve and maintain the health and quality
of life in Pasco County.
