BIRTH certificates are available in this office for FLORIDA births that occurred from 1917 - present. Fees for one copy are $10.00. Additional copies obtained at the same time are $5.00. Identification is required for obtaining birth certificates. We can provide information for obtaining birth certificates out of the State of Florida.
DEATH records are available for deaths that occurred in Sumter County from 2006 to present. Effective August 1, 2010, DEATH certificates are $12.00 each. Identification is required if requesting the cause of death on the certificate. We can provide information for obtaining death certificates for out of county or state.
