Our Dental Clinic in provides dental services to children who are: 
 
3-20 years old, AND on Medicaid with no other dental insurance coverage
We serve all of Walton County

In the next few months, all children receiving dental services through Florida Medicaid will be assigned to an HMO plan. 

You have a choice -- DentaQuest or MCNA.  In the Walton County Health Department Dental Clinic, we accept DentaQuest.
We recognize the need for children's dental services.  The goal of our dental clinic is to provide oral health services to the underserved population in Walton County.  Our dental team consists of dentists, dental assistants, and other professionally trained staff

The Walton County Health Department Dental Clinic provides diagnostic, restorative, preventive, and educational services to children. Appointments can be made by calling 850.892.8686. Phone lines open at 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday thru Thursday. Patients are required to keep scheduled appointments unless rescheduled or cancelled at least 24 hours before the appointment time.

x-rays
periapical (of the root), panoramic (upper & lower jaw), and bitewing (back teeth)
pulpotomy
surgical removal of part of the dental pulp (soft part inside the tooth containing blood vessels & nerves)
sealants
a thin, plastic film painted on the chewing surfaces of permanent back teeth to prevent decay
stainless steel crowns
covers for decayed or damaged teeth, made of metal

 
fluoride varnish treatment
concentrated form of fluoride applied to the smooth surfaces of teeth
sedative restorations (fillings)
fillings that soothe and protect a tooth until it isready for final restoration
restorations (fillings)
a material is used to restore the function & integrityof a decaying or traumatized tooth
 
unilateral space maintainers
attach to one side of a tooth and hold the space for a permanent tooth (used when a primary tooth is lost due to accident or decay)
