Access to the DOH/UF "Burn Center" Trauma Surgeon Training Program

Access to the "Burn Center" trauma surgeon and trauma staff web-based CME/CEU web-based training program was available via a DOH contract administered by the Office of Trauma during 2009-10. Access to the program was free, under the DOH contract, once the nominee was approved and authorized by the Office of Trauma. Access to the course was free, contractually controlled and each authorized user had a unique access code, which was utilized only by the assignee. Over 100 trauma surgeons and trauma residents were provided the opportunity to take the program during 2009 and 2010. Over 100 trauma nurses were also provided the opportunity to take the program during that time period. The DOH funded development of the DOH/UF "Burn Center" Trauma Surgeon Training Program along with the DOH sponsored and paid slots for training has ended. However, individual trauma surgeons, residents and nurses are able to now take this on-line course at a modest cost through a private vendor associated with the University of Florida.
