Volunteers Building Strong, Healthy, and Prepared Communities

Florida MRC Network Program ensures that members are identified, screened, trained and prepared prior to their participation in any activity. While Florida MRC Network Program units are principally focused on their local communities, it is clear that Florida MRC Network Program Volunteers could be vital to the success of response efforts in a statewide or national disaster as well.

Volunteers are needed, you can become part of our team, click on the link above to learn more about the Florida Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) Network Program.

To get started, please go to www.servfl.com and register for the local MRC unit closest to your home or work location. There are additional Florida MRC required training courses, program paperwork, and a background screening that will need to be successfully completed prior to being accepted into your local MRC unit.

  • Strategic National Stockpile - The Center for Disease Control and Prevention maintains the SNS which is large quantities of medicine and medical supplies to protect the public if there is a public health emergency (terrorist attack, flu outbreak, earthquake) severe enough to cause local supplies to run out. The Department of Health maintains a plan for utilizing the SNS (pdf 3.24mb/107 pages) in Florida and individual counties maintain plans for utilizing the assets locally.
