Disaster Preparedness

The Office of Emergency Operations is responsible for coordinating the response to natural and man-made events (including terrorist acts) that have or possibly could have public health and/or medical consequences.  Our best defense against the impact of disasters is to have a well-informed and prepared public.  The following links describe the wide range of potential events and what the public can do to lessen the impact.
