The Pregnancy Risk Assessment Montoring System (PRAMS) is a five-year cooperative agreement between the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Florida Department of Health (DOH).  The global goal of the PRAMS project is to reduce infant morbidity and mortality by changing maternal behaviors during pregnancy and early infancy.  PRAMS establishes and maintains state-specific, population-based surveillance of selected maternal behaviors that occur during pregnancy and the child's early infancy, and generates state-specific data for planning and evaluating prenatal health programs.
