Recommended Vaccinations

Be Safe. Get Immunized.

Due to special risks for healthcare workers and public safety officers, specific immunizations are strongly recommended:

  • Hepatitis B (hep B)
  • Seasonal influenza (flu)
  • Measles-mumps-rubella (MMR)
  • Varicella (chickenpox)
  • Tetanus-diphtheria-pertussis (Tdap) [one dose in place of one scheduled tetanus-diphtheria (Td) booster] and TD every 10 years thereafter

Some healthcare workers may require specific immunizations:

  • Hepatitis A (hep A)
  • Meningococcal (MCV4)

Immunizations recommended for all adults:

  • Tetanus-diphtheria-pertussis (one dose of Tdap in place of one scheduled Td booster) and Td every 10 years thereafter
  • Pneumococcal polysaccharide (for high risk or 65 years of age and older)
  • Zoster (shingles)
  • Human papillomavirus (HPV)
