Recommended Vaccinations
Be Safe. Get Immunized.
Due to special risks for healthcare workers and public safety officers, specific immunizations are strongly recommended:
- Hepatitis B (hep B)
- Seasonal influenza (flu)
- Measles-mumps-rubella (MMR)
- Varicella (chickenpox)
- Tetanus-diphtheria-pertussis (Tdap) [one dose in place of one scheduled tetanus-diphtheria (Td) booster] and TD every 10 years thereafter
Some healthcare workers may require specific immunizations:
- Hepatitis A (hep A)
- Meningococcal (MCV4)
Immunizations recommended for all adults:
- Tetanus-diphtheria-pertussis (one dose of Tdap in place of one scheduled Td booster) and Td every 10 years thereafter
- Pneumococcal polysaccharide (for high risk or 65 years of age and older)
- Zoster (shingles)
- Human papillomavirus (HPV)
