Chapter 2. Water System Regulations -Interagency Agreement -- Jurisdictional Responsibilities

DEP:

• Provides guidance on SDWA rule interpretation and issues policy statements.

• Receives, evaluates, and actions PWS permit applications for all SWDA non-delegated counties.

• Provides legal, technical, enforcement, and training assistance to non-delegated counties and maintains a support role for delegated counties.

DOH:

• Provides guidance on 64E-8 rule interpretation and issues policy statements.

• Receives, evaluates, and actions variances for 64E-8 systems.

• Provides legal, technical, enforcement, and training assistance on 64E-8 systems and maintains a support role for delegated counties.

• In accordance with the DEP/DOH Interagency Agreement, the department investigates all complaints involving SDWA water systems
