  • Baseline: 4.4 physical assaults per 1,000 persons aged 12 years and older by current or former intimate partners occurred in 1998

  • Baseline: 5.4 homicides per 100,000 children, youth and young adults 0 to 24 years of age in 2000 (13.9 for young adults 20 to 24, 9.4 for infants and 8.1 for 15 to 19 year olds)
