Note: Age level data is given because reasons for death differ by age.
Improvements in outcomes are best understood by reviewing the success of
targeted interventions
by age. Three objectives were selected to measure
progress in the leading indicator – Injury in Florida's Children and Youth.
These do not include all the child and
youth health indicators for Injury. More
objectives can be found in the Focus Area 15, 18, 33, and 34. Indicators 18-1
and 18-2, reduction of suicide deaths and
attempts by youth and young adults,
are included under Mental Health.
