MCH Block Grant
Title V of the Social Security Act authorizes appropriations to states to improve the health of all mothers and children. State health offices may apply for funds, which are used to provide maternal and child health services to pregnant women, infants and children, particularly children with special health care needs. The MCH Block Grant Application outlines the state’s needs and plans, and tracks performance measures and indicators to demonstrate need for services and progress towards improvement.
