Substance Abuse & Child Abuse Modules Welcome to
the Infant, Maternal and Reproductive Health Self-Study Training Modules. Please
follow the links in the order presented and when you have completed the module,
you will be able to print out a Certificate of Completion. This is a self-paced
exercise and is being presented for your knowledge and information. In some
cases, this course may be a requirement of your job description. Please retain
this certificate for your files. Any questions should be directed to our
Training Coordinator.

Objectives
Upon completion of this training the
participant will:
- Know the Chapter 12 "Healthy Start Standards and Guidelines" standards
related to ?Substance Abusing Pregnant Women, Substance Exposed Children and
Their Families."
- Understand the criteria for coding Healthy Start services for women who
abused drugs during the pregnancy or for children who were exposed to illegal
drugs during pregnancy on the Healthy Start Encounter form or EARS.
- Be able to list who is eligible for Healthy Start services for substance
involved families.
- Know 5 tips for being safe when visiting a meth7 lab.
