Objectives
Upon completion of this training the participant will be able to:
- Define pre and interconceptional care and list data that support the belief that intervention during this critical period can positively impact birth outcomes.
- List the 10 topics of consideration included in the Healthy Start Standards and Guidelines: Interconceptional Education and Counseling Chapter.
- Describe instances where clients' cultural beliefs may direct how we deliver services to achieve the most positive outcome.
- Describe who may provide Interconceptional Education and Counseling services and how to appropriately code for these services.
