Overview

Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR): Any procedure, agreed to by the parties of a dispute, in which the parties call upon the services of a neutral party to assist them in reaching agreement, and thus avoid litigation or administrative hearings. The different forms of ADR include:

Alternate Dispute Resolution has moved to the forefront in both government and private sectors as a viable alternative to traditional dispute resolution methods.
