CT Preparedness Training

The Chemical Terrorism Coordinators are continuing to outreach to the health and medical community by offering training for CT Preparedness at the local Hospitals and County Health Departments. These partners will play an important part in the response to a chemical exposure incident since clinical specimens will be collected for analysis. This training covers Chemical Terrorism Awareness and the Collection of Clinical Specimens after a Chemical Terrorism Event. To encourage participation it is our pleasure to make arrangements to give these presentations at your facility and at your convenience. It takes about 2 hours to cover both topics, including one 15 minute break. Laboratorian, Nursing, and Environmental Scientist CE credit will be offered for each. We also provide the training manuals, exercise materials and CT Preparedness kits to keep on hand. This training is recommended for Physicians, Nurses, Epidemiologists, Emergency Department Personnel, Phlebotomists, Hospital and Health Department Laboratory Personnel, and others who may collect clinical samples. If you are interested in your personnel attending this class, please contact Dr. Rick France at 813 974-3319 or email us, and a class can be scheduled for your personnel at your facility.
