Q. What are the qualifications for being an Examiner or Examination Consultant?
A. The qualifications for Examiners and Examination Consultants vary by profession. The criteria for professions used by Testing Services are listed below:

Dentist or Dental Hygienist Examiners/Consultants:
1. Must be an actively practicing Dentist or Dental Hygienist in the State of Florida for at least five (5) years.
2. May not teach or be associated with any Dental/Dental Hygiene school or Dental/Dental Hygiene preparatory courses.
3. Must have no disciplinary action against their license, nor be currently under investigation.
4. Must be recommended by a current examiner or board member.

Chiropractic Medicine Examiners/Consultants:
1. Must be actively licensed for at least five (5) years in the State of Florida.
2. Must have no disciplinary action against their license, nor be currently under investigation.
3. Have completed an additional twenty (20) hours of post-graduate training/education beyond the CEUs required for license renewal during the previous biennium.
4. Must not be full-time faculty at a Chiropractic college, or teaching an exam preparation course.

Opticianry Examiners/Consultants:
1. Must have been actively licensed for at least five (5) years in the State of Florida.
2. Must have no disciplinary action against their license, nor be currently under investigation.
3. Must not be full-time faculty at an Opticianry college, or teach an exam preparation course.

Optometry Examiners/Consultants:
1. Must have been a licensed Optometrist in the State of Florida for at least three years.
2. Must not have violated Chapters 456 and 463, F.S., or the rules promulgated thereunder or is under current investigation.
3. Must not be a full-time member at a college of Optometry.

Additional requirements for all professions include:
1. Completing a questionnaire
2. Completing a resume
3. Having a working email address
4. Signing an “Examiner Agreement” (of confidentiality)
5. Registering as a vendor with MyFloridaMarketPlace
