Renewal Information

Paramedic Recertification Information

Current licenses will expire at midnight, Eastern Time, December 1, 2012

The process of renewing a license may take two to three weeks. Initiating contact to confirm the receipt of fees or the status of your license prior to this time will not expedite the renewal process.

Voluntary inactive certification holders will not receive a renewal notice.

An active certification may only be changed to a voluntary inactive status during the certification renewal cycle.

This profession is not eligible to enter into retired status.

An application for recertification received by the department more than 180 days after the expiration date of the certificate shall be denied. Such a certificate holder is ineligible for recertification and must meet the requirements for initial certification.

Reactivation Requirements

  • A certificate which has been inactive for more than 6 years automatically expires and may not be reinstated.
