Application and License Requirements for Athletic Trainers

Apply for Licensure: There are no application deadlines for the State of Florida licensure. The only deadlines are the exam deadlines which are set by the Board of Certification.  Any person may be considered for licensure as an Athletic Trainer provided the applicant provides satisfactory evidence of completion of the requirements.

Continuing Education: Click here for information regarding continuing education requirements for initial licensure.   It is also strongly recommended that you review all of the laws and rules regulating this profession.

Exam: Applicants must submit a CERTIFIED copy of his or her Board of Certification, Inc. (BOC) certificate or a notarized copy of the examination results.
