LICENSED DIETITIAN/NUTRITIONISTS AND NUTRITION COUNSELORS WORK IN MANY SETTINGS

The majority of licensed dietitian/nutritionists (LDNs) and licensed nutrition counselors (LNCs) work in the treatment and prevention of disease, often in hospitals, HMOs, private practice or other health care facilities.  Some however, work in community and public health settings and in education or research.  There are also a growing number of licensed nutritional professionals that work in non-traditional work environments like sports and business.
