Continuing Education

For Initial Renewal

Licensees initially licensed within the biennium are exempt from the continuing education (CE) requirements for renewal with the exception of:

  • Two (2) hour course relating to prevention of medical errors
  • One (1) hours of HIV/AIDS. 

For Renewal of License Following Your First Biennium

Licensees are required to complete 40 hours of BOARD APPROVED CE each biennium:

  • Two (2) hour course relating to prevention of medical errors
  • For Nursing Home Administrators with Preceptor Certification: two(2) hour refresher course required each biennium
  • 38 hours in general CE
