Q: Does Florida reciprocate with other states?
A: No, Florida offers licensure by examination only.
 
Q:How often is the examination given?
A:Once a year; in July.
 
Q:How often is the computer-based portion of the examination given?
A:Continuous, upon your application being certified by the Board.

Q:Will I be required to complete continuing education during the initial biennium?
A: Yes.  The initial biennium in which you are licensed, you will be required to complete 2 hours of Prevention of Medical Errors and 1 hour of HIV/AIDS. See CE Requirements.
 
Q:How can I register for the Computer-based part of the exam given by Prometrics?
A: You will not be able to register with Prometrics until you have received the Candidate Information Packet from Practitioner Reporting and Examination Services Unit (PRES).  You may visit our examination pages at http://www.doh.state.fl.us/mqa/Exam/index.htm or contact PRES at by telephone at (850) 245-4252 for information regarding the administration of the exam.  The Board Office cannot give any information regarding the exam.
