In Volusia County, the federally funded Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program is administered by the Florida Department of Health. You may qualify for WIC if you are a pregnant, postpartum, or breastfeeding mother or if you have an infant or child under the age of five. WIC offers family nutrition education, breastfeeding assistance, and issues EBT (Electronic Benefits Transfer) for approved nutritious foods and formula redeemable at local grocery stores. Families that receive Medicaid or SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits, or Temporary Cash Assistance will automatically qualify.

To register to use the Florida WIC Mobile App, you must be a WIC participant and have been issued a WIC EBT card. The Florida WIC Mobile App provides WIC participants the opportunity to view upcoming appointments, food benefits that have been issued to them in the clinic, scan Universal Product Codes (UPC (barcodes)) while shopping at the store to see if the UPC is a WIC Approved item or not, and provide information on locations of WIC Stores and WIC Clinics across the State of Florida.
